Kylee is a Japanese-American singer and this single, Vacancy, is her debut. Her influences are definitely Western music and you can hear it in all three tracks. The songs are mostly poprock and can be quite loud, except for the third track, Plan B (my favorite track out of the three) which has some elements of acoustic in it.

All in all, it's a pretty decent single for a first-time recording artist. I like that her songs are in English. They are that much more accessible to non-Japanese speakers like me, and I also like that her songs could pass for Western mainstream music. It makes it that much easier to listen to the single through a speaker (and not an earphone).

Vacancy is utilized as the ending theme to the anime series, Xam'd: Lost Memories. The anime first aired on July 16, 2008 (September 24, 2008 in Japan) at PlayStation Network's video download service, E3. It has since finished airing and was, in my opinion, one of the better productions in the 2008-2009 line-up.
