More Screencaps from Library War 07
Shibasaki is consulted by a man, named Asahino, who seems smitten by her. Kasahara thinks it's something serious and decides to spy on their dates while dragging Tezuka along. After losing a bet on whether or not Mt. Fuji could be viewed from the rooftop of the Musashino Library, Shibasaki goes out to dinner with Asahino.
Meanwhile, Kasahara discovers that her favorite book is among the works that received harsh reviews from their colleague, Sunagawa. Tezuka, on the other hand, is contacted by his brother, Satoshi, who was instrumental in drawing back the Media Betterment Act troops in the previous episode. Apparently, Satoshi and Tezuka has had a falling out but now Satoshi wants Tezuka to join his organization. Tezuka declines the invitation.
During dinner, Asahino asks Shibasaki about book-burning performed by the Musashino Library and offers to help her cover it up. Shibasaki, with Kasahara's advice, decides not to accept his offer. It is revealed that Asahino actually works for Satoshi.
The next day, the book-burning incident becomes public knowledge and Kasahara is implicated by Sunagawa as his accomplice in unjustly disposing books.
Satoshi is made to appear like a villain (because he manipulates people to get what he wants) but his philosophy is actually not that bad. At least, ostensibly, he is against violence. But there might be a catch that has yet to be revealed.
Ah, yes. Because it ain't real censorship without book-burning.
For all the stupid things that Kasahara is prone to do, she says something smart for a change in this episode.
So things are picking up for Library War. I'm glad I decided to pick this anime up for blogging. Lots of things happening and there is now actually a semblance of a plot.
