Witch Hunter Robin is a 2002 anime series from Sunrise, following the life of Robin Sena, a member of the STN-J, a secret organization tasked to hunt "seeds" (humans with witch blood whose powers have awakened). Robin is a craft user herself and her powers grow throughout the series, until such a time that she is branded a witch herself and is hunted down by her former teammates.

The song Shell is used as the OP theme for Witch Hunter Robin. It's a grunge-punk number, heavy on the guitars with gothic underpinnings. Half Pain, on the other hand, the ED theme, is a dark and haunting acoustic emo rock song. These are two of the best anime themes I've ever heard to date. And I didn't even enjoy the anime all that much at first.
